FaceMOUSE software allows people with different motoria handicaps to write, to communicate with other people, to use the computer and to carry out commands by them selves, without using hands or voice.

FaceMOUSE is the only help for many motoria disabilities: it fits both to people with little motoria capacity or uncontrolled muscle spasms who are not able to use normal input devices correctly and often don’t find mouse emulators that solve their problems.

Even if FaceMOUSE is adaptable to different motoria disabilities, it is essential that the person was able to focus the attention on PC screen (if comfortably positioned), in order to make choices in an intentional way.

FaceMOUSE allows 3 different ways of use which can be chosen in line with user’s handicap gravity.

1) People without difficulties in controlling the face (or a body part) and people who are able to move their face/body to the 9 directions (up, down, right, left, up-right, up-down, …), even if they are not able to stand still in a point (like other tools require!).

2) People who are not able to move their face/body to the 9 standard directions, as said before, but are able to move their body in 2 or more positions whatever they are. In this case FaceMOUSE follows people’s movements.

3) People with very high level of handicap, thus people who are able to move their face just in two positions, which can be freely chosen. For example, with this technique even who can only open and shut his or her mouth can use FaceMOUSE.
