A.I.D.A Onlus Non-Profit Organisation Assistive Computer Device for Disabilities

HISTORY OF AIDA ONLUS
Welcome to our world, where the disabled become able
HI! I am Simone Soria, I was born disabled in ’79 (with severe spastic tetraparesis and more…) and thanks to the computer and my inventions I graduated in Computer Engineering in 2004.
To give the same possibility to others, I created FaceMOUSE and together with Eng. Perini I founded A.I.D.A. (“IT Aids for the Disabled and the Elderly“, in italian: “Ausili Informatici per Disabili e Anziani“); needless to say, A.I.D.A. designs and develops innovative IT aids for the disabled and the elderly, which allow you to use the computer without hands.
The use of the computer through the IT aid is often essential for those with a serious motor disability and even more so for those who also have speech impediments; in fact, through the computer you can communicate, write, study, work, play and surf the internet. In other words, the right aid allows you to feel part of the world.
But disability cannot be cataloged or standardized and cannot be submited to the common laws of marketing in which standardized industrial products are offered.
Precisely because every disabled person has his own needs, characteristic motor disability (sometimes also cognitive ones) and lives in his family-social environment from which he is influenced, I have designed the IT aids so as to be adaptable to many cases.
The undersigned and his collaborators create a made-to-measure suit for the person, offering their consultancy and the software suite for communication and information technology developed in the A.I.D.A. laboratories.
We offer our advice at our Help Center in Camposanto (Modena, Italy) or at home, moving throughout Italy… and beyond.
Thank you, engineer Soria
